Whether you're building craftsman, bungalow, foursquare, modern or contemporary, today it's possible to see your house plan before you build it.
3D videos and renderings enable you to make informed choices as you walk into the floor plan of your kitchen design and look around, or view the exterior from any perspective. The video below shows an inglenook, a prairie style home, and a contemporary Happy Valley house on its actual terrain. The links on the right sidebar of this page will give you further examples of these advantages.
Because of your ability to view your home design with 3D videos and renderings, most custom home plans can be completed with one site visit and four design sessions.
The first design session is focused on your vision for the project. It is the designer's job to listen first, advise second and create third. At the first meeting, you will be asked your preferences regarding style, size, materials and budget and many other questions that relate to your custom home.
We will put all of our creativity to work to present you with the possible design options at the second meeting. From there on, your choices will be further refined at each consecutive meeting to reach the Final Design. When you approve the Final Design, your construction drawings (blueprints) will be prepared.
You have the choice of viewing your home designs in our office on a large screen, or you can receive videos and renderings by email and view them on your own computer. Electronic Design Sessions are a great time and energy saving device. See examples of Renderings and Videos of home designs on the right side bar.
Today it's possible to build a high performance home for a slight increase in construction cost. After an initial breakeven point, the money you save on heating and cooling each month will begin to pay for your home. This is especially true when considering the projected rise in energy costs. Bruce Butler is a Sustainable Homes Professional and can offer you the most current methodologies in healthy, energy efficient, and eco-friendly building design. Read more about these advantages in Common Sense Reasons (for Green Design).
